MR 2021 Potato Pest Management Series – Powdery scab and potato mop-top virus (PMTV)

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Miller Research will not be holding its annual Potato Pest Management Meeting. Instead, we will be having four 1-hour virtual seminars where we will discuss four different topics related to potato disease management. February 18 – Powdery Scab and Potato Mop-Top Virus (PMTV) Management We will discuss the recent research related to managing powdery scab, including the value of soil testing, selecting resistant varieties, and the use of fungicides for control. We will also discuss the relationship between powdery scab and potato mop-top virus (PMTV). Dr. James Woodhall will join us to discuss the latest information in pathogen detection technology and Dr. Nora Olsen will talk about the development of PMTV symptoms in storage.
